How i feel about being a Year 8

I feel good about being the oldest year in the school...
Firstly because the little kids might take example on year 8s(good ones).
I just feel confident and happy to be a year 8 I mean I can't say much more.
And I might explore and just learn more stuff I wasn't able to in my previous years.

The Fault in our stars!!!

I think that "T.f.i.o.s" is the best book in the world. The fault in our stars is a really good book written by John green. It's about a girl which has cancer which falls in love with a guy that has cancer.
The girl is called Hazel Grace, and the guy is called  Augustus.,
To anyone that reads this post shall read that book!!!!!

Speeches

Hello,
I am mainly positive about speeches, there is one thing i hate.
THE CROWD!!!!!!
I become so stressed when i see how much people are listening and staring at me.
And the judges!!!!
That is mainly what i will focus on, Confidence...   ... speaking in front of someone is not my kind of thing.
You know last year i was always looking at the paper and not at the audience which got me out of mark.

Space

According to the last post it was fake(hihi)
I did learn some cool stuff about space and some myths when I looked in books and the evolution of the word astrology to astronomy.
Astrology was when romans and greeks thought that gods manipulated the universe and then years after years the world changed the name to astronomy which is the study of the universe.

Production highlights

My highlights was mostly when i was onstage for the first scene and the last scene singing and dancing.

Elections and Parliament...

Hello,
Today I will tell you what I learned about the elections and the parliament.
The parliament needs over half the members of parliament( the most ) to make a new law.
There is different parties and from those parties only on person will be elected.
The prime minister can be fired by his party.

Reading challenges

Today i will tell you about my reading challenges.
I have done about 3 challenges icluding the serie challenge where you have to read 3 books from the same series.

Favorite sport

My favourite sport is Swimming,
Why? Because swimming in water feels like freedom!
I am sure you should try it, it also makes you feel relaxed.
When you get out of the pool and start walking you feel like you don't have any legs.
You just went to do more and it also gives you a lot of endurance!!!
That is why I think this is the best sport in the world!!!

Deeper is a song which tells about someone separating.
It's about someone which left his loves behind, and the other person says that she doesn't have to dig deeper to find love.
I like this song because it feels warm and calm and it reminds me of souvenirs in my childhood.

my favorite activity

Hey guys,
This week was Egypt week!
We did a lot of activities and I think the coolest one was when we had to play minecraft, we had to build a house for rich Egyptians.
My activity was about the gods...   ... I did an activity of dodgeball with some of the powers of the gods.
It was really cool and my team won the games.
It was really cool and i am sure the other students enjoyed it!

Gymastics

Hello,
How are you today?
Today I will tell you about our gymanstics lessons at Nairnvale...   .... what you don't know what Nairnvale is? Well it's this place were we do gymastics, it's like you know... an arena!
Well my favorite peice of equipment is the bar were you have to do a 360 degree turn!!! And also the air track, it's like a big matress filled with air which is bouncy!!!
What i most inproved in was the bar because at the start i couldn't do it!

What I learned...

Hey guys,
today I am going to tell you what I learned this week...
I think I learned more about the Egyptian god THOTH...
I learned more about it by doing some research for my project.
I think I will remember some things but not the others.
I think what helps me remember things is by taking heaps of notes and keeping at home in a book.

Book groups

Book groups are really cool!
It's a great way of knowing each other more and also to know everybody's opinions.
What I most liked about it was that everyone had a great time and that we all red the right amount of chapters at each book group meeting.
The group that my group and me are reading is called "Among the Hidden" written by Margaret Haddix.
What didn't went well?
Good question, I think that we couldn't really understand everybody because we were all talking at the same time.

My childhood favorite book

Hello,

Today i am going to talk about my favorite book when i was a child.

It was one of those Winnie the Pooh books...   ... don't remenber by whho it was written but it was a cool story.

It was called Winnie in the forest.

So winnie went into the forest all by himself and got lost, then his friends were worrying and went into the forest to go and try and find him. One found winnie and shouted that he was getting out of the forest with winnie and then everybody gathered around winnie and it all ended by a big hug.

My mum was reading me that story pretically every night!

My holiday

Hey guys,
Today I am talk to you about my holiday!
Well it started calmly by watching movies and playing video games.
Then I invited my friend for a sleep over...
Then my mum invited my friend's parents for dinner and my friend just did another sleep over.
Then the next day I went to my friend's house for a sleepover....
Then the worst thing happened, I opened my knee by falling on some glass!
It really hurts...
Then my dad took me to fish in the bay!
It was so cool.
We fished a lot of fish!
Some kingfish, Takatihi and a lot of other fish!

Mission fair was...

AWSOME!!!😃
My mission fair stall was really good!
We did those electronic thing that you have to pass around a wire without make it buzz it was so cool!
We raised 40.30 Dollars!!!
Good hey?
Some other people were like 250 dollars but that is alright. The most important thing is that my group and me did our best!
I think that next mission fair I should join a bigger group of people because my group was just 2 people so it wasn't that much of a thing!

Something I enjoy doing...

That is a good question!
Well I like reading and playing video games like every child does,
but what I like the most is...     CREATING and DRAWING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spend probably all my time reading and playing games but when I have an idea i write it down and later on I start to work on it! Probs about 30m and then I do something else.

By the way readers could YOU explain me what is your favorite thing to do at home?

Statistics

Hey folks,
How are you doing today?
Good, I hope so!
We'll today I'm going to talk about my statistics and how I improved are need to learn!
First I think I improved a lot in my statistics because in my first test I had 15% of statistics and in my latest test which is my second test I got 75% which is awsome and tells that I improved a lot!
Secondly I think I should work on mental calculting because I'm really bad at it! If you ask me 7x7 I know it is 49 but I can't say it! Weird hey!
I think what I did to make improve was really considarating Maths  because before I knew I was bad at maths so I didn't bother learning but now I know I have to improve so I started listening and I improved!

EOTC WEEK AWSOME!!!!

Eotc week was awsome guys! We had hips of challenges even if they were easy they were cool.
What I found the most challenging...  I would have to say it was, TO climb up Mt Kaukau!
It was easy but we had some difficulties to walk on the path of rocks, but we still had a beautiful vegetation and that was awsome!

What i found the easiest of all was, Nairnvalle day, we went to nairnvalle for the day and we had a lot of sporty fun with sporty games!
We played , Tackle bullrush( where their is up to 2-3 taggers and at least 10 players. The taggers had to tackle the players), Shark attack and awsome mountain and the big mushroom!

It was all I expected to see from Eotc week and it was even more fun then I expected.
My proudest moment... probably when we did Orientiring at camp Kaitoke, because i felt like an adventure sort of guy wich made me feel good all the way.
My favourite moment was at campfire cooking also at camp Kaitoke because it was a lot of fun trying to find a big branch the lenght of your arm in the forest, also because you had to put the pastry on that branch and cook it on the campfire and wait till it is burned enough to it! Then after a little cool down you take it of the branch and eat it and it is DELICIOUS!!!!

I really like swimming group!
It is really exciting!
Well I really like my group, I am in the Diving Group!!
It is easy but i can't really jump the 3m high!!

How do i feel about EOTC week?

To tell you i feel pretty good about it and i wish to do all the things I can and i hope i will beat all my
fears.
What am I looking forward to is having hips of fun with my friends and also make some new from the other year 7 classes.
Unfortunately   it starts in Two weeks and i can't really wait for it .
I am most worried about going out sailing and i am really scared to make the lunch of a giant fish.
But i will get over that .
And i really hope we will have all the gear we need .
